|Duties:||Essential Duties and Responsibilities: |
Responsible for the direct management off all BAS technicians including catalytic coaching, training, mentoring, personnel issues, tools.
Responsible for technian resource planning of control systems projects at the request of the BAS Project Managers.
Responsible for the successful technical execution of BAS projects and ensuring that they are done completely, accurately, and within the allocated tech hours.
Provides technical assistance and direction to BAS technicians as necessary.
Assists BAS engineering and BAS estimating with projects as necessary.
Provides coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to BAS technicians. Ensures that delegated tasks are done accurately and to all developed standards.
Develops and executes on training plans for BAS technicians to ensure all technicians are kept up-to-speed on new developments with BAS technologies.
Stays apprised of new developments within the building automation area and makes recommendations to the BAS Contracting Manager for technical improvements.
•Works with the Project Managers to prioritize workload to ensure customer and employee satisfaction are delivered.
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
•Prepares reports and correspondence and maintains files.
•Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
•Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of computer software, phone, and fax, calculator, shredding machine and copy machine.
•Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions. Provide accurate and timely information.
•Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
•Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
•Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
•Other responsibilities as required.
|Qualifications:||Education and/or Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. At least 5 years of direct leadership and management of technical resources. At least 5 years of direct project experience in the Building Construction industry. At least 5 years of direct building automation project programming and commissioning of building automation systems. Ability to work with all levels of staff and maintain strict confidentiality of information. Must be adept in the use of personal computers, especially programs such as MS Office, Adobe Writer, and Visio. Must be able to multi-task, openly communicate, work well with others and carry a positive attitude. Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with customers and vendors. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Local travel required.|
