Description:Job Summary: Performs Energy Audits/Assessments of customer facilities and works as a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, and owners / developers in the analysis and sale of energy services and environmental solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.



Sales Support Goals: Help Energy Services team sell 5 million dollars per dedicated salesperson first year; 10 million per salesperson second year; and to grow at least 20% annually for the next 5 years



This person will be responsible for the Southern New Jersey territory, however you will be expected to come to the King of Prussia office as needed.
Duties:Research facility mechanical and electrical systems, in collaboration with site engineers, through all available information including:
Shop drawings, control drawings, and as-built drawings

Facility documentation and recommendations
Any documentation on recent or proposed building modifications which would affect utility baseline

Any other facility information such as building schedules or use patterns

Consult with facilities staff, building trades, and head engineers in each building to determine and document:

-Existing needs, concerns, goals, and suggested modifications

-Condition of mechanical and electrical systems

-Operational procedures and schedules

-Any unique building requirements

-Energy Star Rating

-Greenhouse Gas footprint

-Energy Usage Index (EUI)

-Survey buildings, including all mechanical and electrical systems and water using devices, data loggers, and testing equipment to determine:
Current condition and efficiency of equipment
Ventilation requirements and capabilities
Time operation of equipment
Efficiency of heating system including boilers, temperature controls, and steam traps
Existing lighting system, including detailed count and condition of all fixtures
Condition of building envelope and insulation values of windows, walls, and roofs
Energy savings opportunities
Retro-commissioning opportunities
Distributed generation opportunities
Demand Response Programs
Renewable energy opportunities
Rebates and recurring revenue opportunities via RECs and EEcs
Model energy use in each building using computer-modeling software.

-Analyze utility and operational costs to identify and determine:
Reasons for year-to-year changes in building consumption, including effect of recent building modifications or improvements
If computer modeling of the building equals actual consumption
Areas of inefficiency or areas in need of further investigation
Natural gas cost savings opportunities by purchasing gas on the spot-market
Electrical cost savings opportunities by analyzing on and off tariff rates
Operational cost savings opportunities
An operational and utility cost baseline, including modifications due to recent improvements
Assemble and analyze all information and make preliminary Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) recommendations. Each ECM recommendation, at a minimum, will include:
Detailed energy savings estimates and calculations, including all assumptions
Any operational savings associated with the recommendation
Affects on building operations or other retrofits
Maintenance modifications due to retrofit implementation
Training requirements
Schematics
Before and after pictures
Costs and paybacks of recommended solutions
Other benefits from performing the retrofit
Conformance to Trane PACT program when applicable

-Perform financial analysis and necessary calculations related to potential bids and proposals.

-Responsible for helping to achieve annual sales volume as determined by manager.

-Other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university and/or 5 plus years of experience in the design and/or operation of mechanical heating and cooling systems and building controls. This includes operational analysis of mechanical and electrical systems within buildings, Understanding of energy sources, uses and relation calculation.

Ideal candidates would have a Professional Engineer license and/or be a Certified Energy Manager. LEED Certification is also a plus.

Must have performance or mechanical contracting (PC) project management experience that includes defining and validating project scope. Must be able to multi-task, openly communicate, work well with others and carry a positive attitude.

This position requires approximately 40% travel- mainly in New Jersey but some travel to King of Prussia, PA is required (our office is located in King of Prussia).
